Madagascar-Turkey: a delegation of Turkish economic operators in the country

For the past three years, there has been a positive development of trade exchange between Turkey and Madagascar, namely thanks to the participation of Madagascar to the different summits of businessmen. Such development was accompanied by the growing quantity of the traded products. In the same vein, the association “Malagasy & Turkish Businessmen’s Club” (MTBC) currently sets its bases to promote business and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

For that purpose of developing partnerships between Turkey and Madagascar, a delegation, including some twenty Turkish economic operators, is now in the country. These businessmen are from the fields of food processing, mining, textile, building and construction industry. A Business to Business meeting between the Turkish delegation and fifty Malagasy economic operators was organized yesterday by the MTBC association at the Carlton Hotel, allowing both parties to initiate business contacts and to prospect investment opportunity.

According to the President of MTBC, Eléonore Ramilijaona, this event is the first in a long line as part of the challenges that are included in the objectives of the association, including facilitating the integration of businessmen from all kinds of fields in Madagascar as well as in Turkey and promoting the sharing of knowledge and know-how. According to a member of the MTBC, other Turkish businessmen will arrive in Madagascar next week.
