“Minervois sans Frontières France-Madagascar “: 26 000 recipients of direct aid in 2011

Working in the Great Island for 26 years now, the association “Minervois sans frontières France-Madagascar” continues to travel in provinces and in diverse remote areas. With over eighty members in the field, the association continues to raise funds, most of which comes from France, in order to perpetuate its aid operations and support to disadvantaged population.

Not only focusing on the donations of staple products, clothing or food, the association also provides needy families with medical equipment such as wheelchairs and crutches. Fenoarivo, for the first time in 26 years, was one of the association’s target areas of activity. Last Wednesday, the HJRA hospital also received an impressive package of surgical equipments of good quality.

Recent actions were honored by the presence of the founding-president of “Minervois sans frontières France,” Pigou René, and Rasolofoson Lilian, the president of “Minervois sans frontières” in Madagascar, which is always in close collaboration with its France-based parent association. It is important to note that 26 years since its implementation in Madagascar, the association now has 25 sub-branches in the capital apart from the networks established on provincial and regional levels.
