National Airline Company: Air Madagascar is not for sale

In recent times, the national Airline Company “Air Madagascar” has been facing hard times. However, the establishment of a new Management Board should allow the company to recover from its loss. Indeed, according to the Minister of Finance and Economy, Hery Rajaonarimampianina, yesterday during the presentation of the members of Air Madagascar’s new Management Board (who are composed of some of the company’s managers, technical crews, staff members and people from the private sector), the company Air Madagascar is not for sale.

The newly-appointed Chairperson of Air Madagascar’s Management Board, who is but Hery Rajaonarimampianina himself, has just put an end to all the rumors about the project of selling the company presently. He added that the restructuring of the Management Board is a strong signal of the effective will of the government, the main shareholder of the company, to redress it. He further stated that the government will take over the entire management of the company and is committed to make every effort to provide materials, resources and facilities necessary for the full recovery of Air Madagascar
