Fuel supplying companies operating on the Island have long been complaining against a ruling power inconveniently poking its nose into what is not its business. They’d rather get the free trade’s laws decide, when, how and whether consuming price rises have to be imposed or removed. Fuel suppliers argue that they have been being compelled to drop Billions in profits since the ruling power unilaterally imposed its intervention. The HAT plays a deaf ear. So do they now, as SHELL and TOTAL have been so far ruling any price drop out. They are likely to be emulated by the other couple of companies, JOVENNA and GALANA. This struggle and the national crisis have something in common: both are far from over.
