Official inauguration of the City Hall of Antananarivo: 3000 guests are expected…

The City Hall of Antananarivo rises from the ashes. Actually, according to the Chief of Staff inside the Municipality of Antananarivo, the reconstruction works are now ahcieved; it remains only the organization of the opening ceremony. The inauguration of the new building of the City Hall is now confirmed. According to a reliable source, the official inauguration ceremony of the new building may very well take place on December 11, 2010, and that it would host about 3000 guests during that day. Other 2000 people, thousand of which are men and thousand are women, probably referring to the name of Antananarivo as the “City of a Thousand”, would also be called to create a sensation and to boost the image of a city emblematic of Madagascar.

Still according to the Chief of Staff inside the Municipality of Antananarivo, Alexandre Rabeharisoa, “The ceremony is sure to take place on this December 11, because all works are already completed. Besides, the holding of the official inauguration ceremony has already been approved by the elected councilors in the capital who have already held a meeting in the new building last Tuesday. In spite of all that though, the final decision belongs to the President of the High Authority of Transition, Andry Rajoelina, who is the initiator of this reconstruction project of the City Hall”.

It is up to the President Andry Rajoelina to take care of the preparation of the inauguration ceremony of the City Hall. Because, as explained by Alexandre Rabeharisoa, “the project of rebuilding the City Hall was among the election promises of the current president of the HAT when he was a candidate for being the mayor of Antananarivo. Consequently, it is of real justice to give him the entire honor to lead the ceremony”.
