On holidays : rush towards Mahajanga & Toamasina

Toamasina has been losing attractiveness for some years to the capital city’s inhabitants. Popularity is however now back. Many hotels are full, and scores of beach facilities are a real magnet for holiday trekkers. On top of the chart: Foulpointe and Mahambo.

It is generally rainy in this region, the sun shines from the beginning of August according to the old school holiday makers.

In spite of the heat and the 450 miles long trip, Mahajanga has definitely conquered the top of the chart since the road linking it to the island’s highlands was restored.
