Orange Business School: the recognition of its degrees is underway

Permanently in quest for innovation, Orange Madagascar, generally known for its main activities including mobile telephone operator and Internet access provider, has recently put under way a new and unprecedented activity: professional training. “Orange Business School”, such is the name of Orange’s training center which is located in the Orange building in Andraharo.

Orange Business School is a center that is accessible for everyone, requiring only a good level of French both in speaking and writing. The training center offers business-related courses such as company management, leadership, coaching and management of commercial activities. However, Orange Business School’s most important mission is to train people to become call center operators as well as telemarketing operators. Existing only for a couple of months, Orange Business School has already 41 young graduated call center operators. Many of these new call center operators are now working in different call center companies, some are working in marketing companies, and some others are working for Orange Madagascar. 90% based on practice, Orange Business School’s training is a real work experience opportunity for its students, allowing them to get familiarized with the labor world.

For the time being, the Ministry in charge of professional training is studying the request of Orange Business School for the recognition of its degrees as official ones. In return, Orange Business School pledges to give high quality training curricula to its students, and to create career advising and employment agency so that the newly graduated students could rapidly find jobs.

Through Orange Business School, the Orange group is opening a new horizon for Malagasy young people in terms of study options and career plans, and offering them a chance to get jobs in a very flourishing field: telecommunication. In a word, through its creation of employment for young people, Orange Business School contributes to the effort of reducing poverty in Madagascar, and thus, actively taking part in the development process of the country.
