Presidential duel: Jean Louis Robinson boycotting the release of temporary results

Over the latest couple of weeks, the Opposition has been taking a stand against the presidential election’ scoreboard held as rigged through the use of massive frauds to Hery Rajaonarimampianina’s profit, former transitional finance minister and transitional ruling power’s champion. According to the Electoral Commission’s released current scoreboard summarizing the outcome of the presidential election’s round two held on December 20th, he is awarded 53.50% of the votes against 46.50% to the Opposition’s candidate. The Opposition went about sending hundreds of requests to the Special Electoral Court, including a request for disqualification of candidate Rajaonarimampianina, and for the invalidation of more than 300 000 of the votes awarded to the ruling power’s minion. The electoral judges have two weeks to make a decision until ultimate results get released. Tensions are on their way up to their climax. The Opposition firmly sticks to its requests and does actually not appear remotely bound to give in to any electoral hold up. As a temporary conclusion, Madagascar is nowhere near to any long term crisis settlement.
