The dirty business decidedly knows no end, does it? Six containers filled with rosewood logs have freshly been captured by security forces in Antsiranana, in the North of Madagascar. The rosewood logs have been shipped northwards all along the Great Isle's eastern coast, for they have initially been loaded up in Taolagnaro, in the south of the country. The National State Police took charge and arrested the ship Zanzibar on which the cargo was subsequently captured.

According to General Richard Ravalomanana, the National State Police’s leading officer, the concerned ship’s captain is a Chinese national. Where this cargo of rosewood logs was basically supposed to be shipped to remains unknown for the time being, but the investigation has just started and will keep going on over the next coming weeks. In spite of a very international reaction to this matter of fact, rosewood smuggle has been reaching unprecedented extents during the four years old political crisis in Madagascar. Senior ruling power officials and high ranking army and state police officers happen to be widely regarded as the masterminds of this rosewood trafficking.
