As a consequence to the meeting held on July 16th together with international experts, the National Electoral Commission rather kept out from turning any other electoral calendar out, considerating the major political uncertainties. Still, the CENIT's acting president declared that getting in for elections before the end of the year 2013 remained a possibility. So does the Electoral Commission choose the path of prudence, albeit to avoid embarrassment when issuing any other electoral program deem to backfire again

Patience and some more legal texts concerning the reshuffle of the Special Electoral Court are still required, namely in order to pave the way out of the race to some inconvenient candidates. Three candidates are actually challenged by one part of the International Community and pressured to leave the starting line, namely Andry Rajoelina, Lalao Ravalomanana and Didier Ratsiraka. The CENIT naturally prefers to see the outcome of the ultimatum lately imposed by international mediators to each of these three candidates prior to making any other decision. Scores of political observers are convinced that there would be no election at all this year
