The SADC´s envoys have to cope in Madagascar with legions of interpretations of the decision taken in Sandton. Marius Franzman, the South African envoy consequently makes the following message clear: "interpretations may come and go, only what we say goes down in history as the genuine version"

The roadmap is now the division bell

The SADC´s troika´s ministers strained to recover control, as “the Eight” are threatening to have it their way, and sign the roadmap´s version of their choice. Tomaz Salomao and the delegation of ministers regretted the fact that people are deliberately misusing the final resolutions in order to mislead the public.

The regional organization´s executive secretary actually created a crisis within the crisis when turning out an interpretation which happens to be contradicting the internationally accepted amended roadmap. In complete ignorance of the hierarchy, the HAT and the Eight which gladly accepted Simao´s roadmap version are now holding on to this latest interpretation produced by Dr. Salomao related to the article 20´s amendment.

The summit held in Sandton accepted the return of politically exiled figures, including president Marc Ravalomanana. But the executive secretary invented the supposed need to fulfill conditions off his own bat. Some observers are blaming this U-turn on a certain major power´s influence supportive of Andry Rajoelina, and hurried to provide him with international legitimacy. Tomaz Salomao failed from providing any clear reason to such a move of his. That the current mission is genuinely that of the Troika, is at least to be held for granted.

“We have to produce the very same message, we must produce a logical and basic statement, so that no room is being left to misunderstanding” emphasized the South African deputy minister in charge of international relationships. The Troika´s mission recalled subsequently that the SADC turned out a single one roadmap, no matter who is mediating.

The Troika´s point is consequently jeopardizing the signing of the roadmap completed on September 16th at 16 hours local time. “Our role is to support you and not to impose anything”, tempered Marius Franzman, whereas Malagasy are seemingly expecting the SADC to referee.

Mr. Franzman quickly caught the malagasy politicians´ passions and divisions up. “Only political unity is deemed to provide stability” he suggested. The SADC and the Troika are definitely welcomed the process jointly ignited by the opposition´s three spheres and the six HAT supportive groups before a firm call to the order from the Rajoelina sphere. THe latest becomes thereupon the “8+2 Band”, for being reinforced by a couple of fake groups made of dissidents from the Ravalomanana sphere, namely the fake TIM led by Raharinaivo and Rakotovao, and a shadow group led by Yves Aime Rakotoarisoa.

The expression “Band” has been becoming the press´ new born baby since the HAT supportive press groups labeled the six groups previously bound to deal with the oppostion´s three spheres, this way. The Band of Ten made public, that it would sign the amended roadmap´s version in accordance with Mr Salomao´s interpretation. “This roadmap was accepted by institutions like the African Union´s Peace and Security Council, the African Union´s Commission as well as by the United Nations´ Secretary General ” declared Pierrot Rajaonarivelo.

According to Ny Hasina Andriamanjato, the chiefs of States gathered in Sandton would have merely turned a statement out. The Executive Secretary was the one producing the official text. The HAT is consequently threatening to have it its way, could the SADC ever refuse to give in and grant international legitimacy to its signature
