Tojo Rakotozafy at the head of the Junior Chamber International of Antananarivo

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) of Antananarivo held its first general meeting of this year last Wednesday at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Antananarivo. This first meeting was also an opportunity to transfer the power between the JCI’s former president, Vola Randrianarison, and the new president, Tojo Rakotozafy. JCI is a worldwide federation of young active citizens aged between 18 and 40, and it exists in nearly 117 countries around the world.

It is worth mentioning that the Junior Chamber International of Madagascar (JCIM) was founded in 1959 by Charles Andriantsitohaina. The ultimate affiliation of Madagascar into the federation was passed at the JCI World Congress in Paris in 1961. In 1987, thanks to the solidarity of the Junior Chamber of Economy (JCE) from France and Switzerland, the JCE of Madagascar reborn later and became the Junior Chamber International of Madagascar.
