The SADC´s so much expected decision contained no surprise. Andry Rajoelina tried to deflect attention by announcing his acceptance of Didier Ratsiraka´s return. The Summit of Sandton emphatically reminded him that every Malagasy in exile will be allowed to go back to home country and carry on engaging in politics " including Marc Ravalomanana ". La décision tant attendue de la SADC n’a pas accouché de surprise. Andry Rajoelina a essayé de faire diversion en annonçant qu’il accepte le retour de Didier Ratsiraka. Le Sommet de Sandton lui a rappelé que tous les malgaches en exil pourront rentrer au pays et continuer à faire de la politique « y compris Marc Ravalomanana ».
