The national reforestation campaign was supposed to be a twice more relevant milestone event. On the one hand, growing rosewood forests anew instead of the usual polonias, ranvintsara and eucalyptus should have been an occasion for the Rajoelina regime to call for some redemption. La campagne de reboisement nationale aurait dû être un événement doublement symbolique. D’une part, elle aura permis au régime Rajoelina de se racheter une image en plantant une nouvelle forêt avec des jeunes plantes de bois de rose au milieu des habituels polonias, ranvintsara et eucalyptus.
