The transitional leader was allowed to leave the country in the evening of September 20th to attend the United Nations’ General Assembly. The United States have been denying him entry to the eleventh hour, since the transitional leader wanted to meet in Washington D.C. the few parliamentarians part of the Congressional Black Caucus group supporting him. The United States did not contribute to make it easy at all. Not a single one of his delegation members was allowed to enter the US territory. Le président de la Transition a pu quitter le pays la nuit du 20 septembre pour assister à l'Assemblée Générale des Nations Unies. Les Américains lui ont refusé le visa jusqu'à la dernière minute. Car le président de la Transition voulait également se rendre à Washington pour rencontrer des parlementaires acquis à sa cause. Lesquels sont réunis au sein du groupe Congressional Black Caucus. Les Américains ne lui ont toutefois pas facilité la vie.
