Following the deal patched up by the Rajoelina sphere, the erection of a new government, and the appointment of a new Prime Minister are the latest causes for debates. The next nominees meant to be neutral will have to enforce a consensus’ alleged credibility, well, carry on Camille Vital’s job.

A half national unity government in exchange of international recognition !

For having displayed a loyal HAT soldier’s face, and not that of a neutral Prime Minister, Camille Vital is left out of the starting line up.  Some signing in parties were surprised. As being named by Andry Rajoelina in order to master the opposition and secure the dictating authority, he has been scaring the international community away. Parties parading behind the HAT are everything but electoral big guns, and the TIM, the AREMA and the UNDD parties are excluded from the process. Politicians consequently have to put their money on relatively famed figures.

Building a psychological link with the opposition’s spheres  is the currently led strategy. Alain Tehindrazanarivo is, in this sense, the first nominee virtually stemming from the Ratsiraka sphere. Unfortunately, the admiral ceased the occasion to publicly reject this previous HAT healthcare minister, and added that their links restricted to the fact that the cardiologist was nursing the admiral’s brother. Then, Alain Andriamiseza, a former legalistic militant, former Ravalomanana sphere’s leader of the resistance against putsch makers, then, former Roindefo II and Vital I government member, happens to be ambitious to the point of longing for the presidency.

Former diplomats are equally high in the chart, most likely in order to challenge the internationally famed Raymond Ranjeva, the on going ideal transitional Prime Minister. Jose Vianey is on the starting line up, as federal cause’s early militant, former ambassador in Paris, currently militating for Didier Ratsiraka’s amnesty. Potentially not enough to claim the party’s red color however. Omer Beriziky has been politically far less famed, which happens to be an advantage. In quality of a diplomat, he is supposed to do what it takes to recover international recognition for the dictating power.

Some neutral figures have also been proposed. Appointing Guy Ramangason, director of the ANGAP, the protected areas’ watchdog, as Prime Minister, would be an interesting show time for a regime which ruined a large part of the country natural wealth. Florent Rakotoarisoa, the current constitutional advisory council’s president empowered by HAT, is a far better law oriented option, as a alleged pledge for constitutional order’s recovery

The political deal’s meant to be immediate implementation is supposed to be followed by the new Prime Minister’s appointment and his led role distribution within the other transitional institutions, held unchanged compared to what was decided by the Maputo charter. Ten days after the signature completed in Ivato, 87 signatory parties merged their proposals into a top 6 chart of potential prime ministers. There is room for the HAT leader’s choice. But international recognition remains an eluding dream without the inclusion of the opposition’s three spheres Andry Rajoelina boasts to be able to do without it, his allied parties are less convinced
