Willy Razafinjatovo, the famed political attorney, opposed to the dictating power, addressed the issue. “Olala” criticized the systematic jail sentences directed against the opponents and the subsequent lack of freedom of speech. Raymond Ranjeva´s case was mentioned as an evidence of a strained authority´s will to silence the reason´s voice.

A Transition according to Prof. Raymond Ranjeva´s definition, the misunderstood intellectual

The self proclaimed intellectuals supporting the HAT have completely lost their credit for being forced to give in to radical, extreme and illegal means to defend their “baby”. Passion and lack of realism have dented speeches. The Malagasy exception theory which would agree on a brutally installed power could not expect to stand eternally against natural and rational processes like democracy, freedom and the rule of law…As Raymond Ranjeva started to speak, he focused the intellectual question on the Malagasy social and political crisis.

Prof. Ranjeva´s intellectual speech became a blow for the dictating power: “A transition is a life saving program, VONJY AINA, and in no way a life ruling one”. He rejected the mixture of political and transitional aims. According to Raymond Ranjeva, “the needed transition is a democratically structured regime supposed to keep the engine running without political orientation”. The bill is sour for the HAT happening to be exactly the opposite.

“A correct transition is, as a matter of fact, the hardest challenge of a nation´s life. The nation´s problems are being detected, and no settlement is to be adopted as long as the sickness is not healed”, explained the professor. Raymond Ranjeva´s VONJY AINA movement stood against the HAT´s intention to organize a referendum in the midst of an unsettled crisis. “Excessively hurried elections are not to be a good thing. They would come up to a more serious problem. The crisis will be back within three or four years. In order to build a solid social base, a transition must commit to turn Madagascans into conscious citizens aware of their choices and rights, and not into ignorant and easily fooled people…only the Malagasy people´s spiritual force is entitled to settle our problems and drive us to a new live. Now laws are being imposed to serve the ruling power instead of serving  the dialog”.

So did Prof. Ranjeva regret the current situation and denounce the ruling dictatorial power lurking behind a faked image of a legal state. For being an opponent to the HAT, his detention was predictable, but avoided due to his statute of magistrate, according to observers. As a certain number of opposition figures, among whom Parson Andrianalijaona “Satrobory” Andriamanampy, supported Riana Ranjeva in court, the HAT´s propaganda machine bluntly alleged a link between Raymond Ranjeva and the oppostion´s three political spheres. The dictating power and its musclemen are dying for involving Raymond Ranjeva into the latest failed, or faked putsch against the HAT. In short, Ranjeva is in the HAT´s shooting line.
