The negotiations on the political crisis in Madagascar are stumble one more time around on the Transition's presidency question. The "joint presidency" or "jointly exerted power" was addressed in the backstage before being debated in plenary session.

Addis-Abeba: The Transition’s “joint presidency” addressed more seriously

The former president Didier Ratsiraka launched the “joint presidency” option to come out of from the present crisis. He is believing it to be the best idea to overcome the everlasting conflict opposing the political mobilities about the Transition’s presidency.

After several hours of talks, the Marc Ravalomanana mobility bought the idea of a “joint presidency “. According to the exiled President’s mobility, “this hopeful proposition is complying with the suprem interest of a Nation craving to stand by a Transition in order to cast the rivalries of yesterday aside, and make a symbol of peace of the transitional period’s Presidency to be in charge of organizing the forthcoming poles in order to insure the return to constitutional order.”

The Addis-Ababa meeting had to reach its final day to meet the different mobilities seriously addressing the “joint presidency” option alltogether at last. The Andry Rajoelina mobility, desperately longing for its leader to be on top of the Transition, was basically against the proposal; but backstage lobbying and secret clauses might finally draw it to change its mind. The summit held in the Ethiopian capital city is supposed to end on November 5th, but talks are still very hot few hours away from the closing ceremony.
