Ambondrona: a first visit and tour in America

The famous Malagasy rock band, Ambondrona, is now landing in the country of Uncle Sam. For the members of the group, it is the concretization of an old dream. Indeed, in recent times, the band has successively performed live in different places and country.  

After their very first performance in the prestigious concert hall, La Cigale, in France, Ambondrona will perform an official tour in the United States as part of the Program Volvis or Voluntary Visitors. During their stay in the U.S, the band will perform and take part in different events, including seminars, workshops and exchange programs in the field of music, education, and environment. Some of the places that the band will visit include Seattle (Washington), Portland (Oregon), Boulder (Colorado) and Denver (Colorado).

It is worth mentioning that in 2010, Ambondrona has already opened the door to the world in South Africa where they could record an entire album in which some of the band’s titles were translated into and performed in English. A2A was the name they used as part of their international tour project at that time. However, the band has kept the name Ambondrona for its local fans and those in the diaspora.
