June 26th, 2011, the elected mayor of Antananarivo is leading the military parade as presumed armed forces´ chief. Andry Rajoelina´s legality is actually hanging by a thread, merely a constitution voted set to measure and voted at the eleventh hour is granting his grip on power. And yet, the one empowered by the street and by the army is holding himself as an elected figure, and pushing up to comparing himself to a certain Jesus Christ.

Andry Rajoelina: the one for lack of being the elected one

The chief of the imposed authority wore his prince´s outfit during the independance day´s celebrations. Looking like a sovereign would be more advised when recognition as an elected president is eluding. The young chief of the authority produced an incomplete recall of the history of patriotism. “for the sake of their sovereignty, the raiamandreny gave their life for the love of the country, he declared. Liberation and the improvement of the national life are keeping going on today “.
And Andry Rajoelina started talking about the future. “The road is long and treacherous “. Following the history lessons for children came the catechism courses. Just as a guru facing devoted disciples, the chief preached the good news, referring to Matthew, XIII chapter, 23-27, to Christ and his disciples´ journey jeopardized by a storm: “Lord, do save us since we are to perish – what are you fearing? where is your faith? And the Lord stood up and silenced the storm, and the Malagasy live the same situation ” he declared.
Misled
Does Saint Andry play Christ´s role and the Malagasy his disciples? “I am conscious of the concern of those wondering whether the boat is going to sink or not? “, reassured the B Class preacher. He stated that those keeping faith and hope, entrusting their fate to God, are meant to reach the end of the tunnel.
“Have no fear, be patient since we will soon meet the harbor”, insisted the self proclaimed son of man. “It requests however solidarity, perseverance and patriotism “, he added. For a couple of years and a half, the Malagasy have been misled in expectation of their savior.
Andry Rajoelina solemnly predicted that Madagascar would have a democratically elected president on June 26th, 2011. It logically ought to have been the same, as the mandate granted by a putsch and finally accepted by a High constitutional court was supposed to come to an end in March 2011. There are actually much much more requirements on the way to become a prophet.
Andry Rajoelina is the new non elected leader with an unlimited mandate non limited, proudly walking in Gbagbo´s or Gaddafi´s shoes. Quite a poor start for a candidate to the Nobel Price of Democracy, is it? The personal constitution passed through a unilateral referendum declares that” the present” chief of the transition remains on top of power until the election of the next president, be it within three days or eternally.
foregone lost bet
“We are compelled to move forward, we are in the 4th republic, putting an end to the transition through free and transparent elections for the sake of a democratic alternation is our goal “, protested the chief of the imposed authority.
Andry Rajoelina is displaying his version of good will by pushing for elections with a foregone result, but purposely omits the restoration of a favorable political climate for a fair race. He´s already made a scapegoat out of his electoral commission.
The authority´s leader is thereupon calling upon the population to contribute to the draft of a perfect electoral list. Whatever it takes, he keeps on launching five challenges repeatedly lost in the past: democracy, believable election, peace, struggle against poverty, and the economic re-launch.  Here is the hand´s sixth finger: Andry Rajoelina will lead the parade again on June 26th, 2012 for the fourth time in a row as supreme chief of… the transition.
