The outgoing president of February 7th's victims' association has given an ultimatum to the transitional leader: "internal conflict is denting the association of last year's shoot out's victims in front of the presidential palace of Ambohitsorohitra. Settle it my way or I'll...".

AV7: Ultimatum for Andry Rajoelina

Here is one more sign of unease from the young putschist’s circle. Andry Rajoelina has been meeting increasing difficulties while trying to rally his supporters. The internal power struggle currently undermining the association of February 07th’s victims is an undeniable evidence of that.

Etienne Andriamahefarisoa, ousted president of the AV7 association, went as far as imposing an ultimatum to Andry Rajoelina as a solution to the problem. For having been involved in a hold up, Etienne Andriamahefarisoa has been cast aside by the association’s members in September 2009, “for the sake of preserving the association’s reputation” as attested by that time. But the ousted president still has some supporters from the mass, and does clearly not intend to surrender without decent resistance.

The outgoing president of the AV7 has been cast aside by a vote. But the man is openly intending to make a come back by force. Etienne Andriamahefarisoa threatened to lodge complain in court if Andry Rajoelina fails to enforce his solution.

“Who does Etienne Andriamahefarisoa believe that he is?” replied one of the transitional leader’s collaborators when hearing the ultimatum imposed by the AV7 founding father. The Rajoelina political mobility is crumbling for good.
