Bidding farewell to Hilton Madagascar

Hilton is leaving Madagascar after a remarkable presence of 36 years; the employees are always ready to take new challenges and welcome with open arms the next group that would run the company; however, they can’t help to feel a bit sad and feel an emptiness. Hilton, opened on the 8th of October 1970, has been present in the landscape of Antananarivo for so many years that it has become an institution; can you believe that even the “taxi-be” when asking who is alighting at Anosy is shouting: “Who is alighting at Hilton?”?

Hilton decided to open the world leader hotel chain in Antananarivo, right before they decided to invest in the famous and wonderful island of Mauritius, that must mean something. They believed in our potential right before we, ourselves, did. Hilton has always been the place to see, where all the big events take place, it has hosted some of the leaders of the world, such as Jacques Chirac, Horst Kholler, Koffi Annan, and so many others and also a lot of artists like Jean Jacques Goldman, Sean Paul, Lucky Dube, etc. Fore sure, people are going to miss Hilton.

However, life is a constant change and in the quest to perfection and new direction, the owners have decided to take up directly the management, things are going to change for sure and for the better we all hope.
