Commercial Agreement with South Africa

There is no doubt that South Africa intends closer ties with Madagascar by building its new embassy in Antananarivo. The country that birthed Mandela evidently wishes for a more elaborate collaboration with Madagascar. The TRIBUNE quotes? Accompanied by special counselor of President Marc Ravalomanana, Ram Sami, the ex- executive secretary of SADC (Southern Africa Development community) the minister for Industry Commerce and Private Sector Development recently made visits to South Africa, to Zambia and to Botswana. New partnerships are expected to develop from this.  Minister Roger Marie Rafanomenzantsoa had the opportunity during his stay in South Africa to meet with his counterpart. This meeting produced an executive agreement in principal and agreements concerning tourism and the agricultural sector that will bring South African specialists to work with our technicians before the ministers visit this coming June. South Africa would like to include Madagascar in its special understanding with the MMTZ (Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia) that will bring us advantages in the textile field.
