Francis Turbo’s twentieth anniversary

During the past three days, Francis Turbo, the humorist, celebrated his twentieth anniversary on the scene. The topic was « Fety l’Amour » (celebrate love) which joins the atmosphere of the time-the celebration of the Valentine’s day. The first two spectacles were held on the 12th and 13th February at cinema Roxy situated at Antananinarenina. Many answered his call exclusively in couple. But there were too a few journalists. The last spectacle was held in Antsirabe in the very day of the celebration of the Valentine’s day.

Always equal to himself, the spectacle were interesting and lasted two hours and a half. As usual, the first part of the show was about everyday life and the second one was about « art ». From the beginning until the end, burst of laughs were heard in the room and the shouting of some in the public as feedback. When the public reacted, asking questions, Francis Turbo was rapid and eager to answer and his reply made the entire room explode in laugh. So the show-off was very interactive.

Twentieth anniversary. The time runs fast. Francis Turbo can be considered as a real « cultural monument » for Malagasy people. As an humorist, he connects well the news with his prestation so that at the same time he teaches his public and allows each one have a great time. One can really have a rapid grasp of Malagasy culture through his prestation.

Madagascar does not have many humorists. But the existing ones can be considered as a true richness in terms of culture, such as Francis Turbo. We wish him a great twentieth anniversary. Many happy returns  Francis Turbo!!!
