The opposition against the dictating power is being led by ex-president Albert Zafy on the front line. In a movement called "rodobe", the professor is more than ever calling upon the erection of a democratic transition, as the HAT´s mandate has expired. He has on his way to confront the ruling power´s repression forces led by the general Richard Ravalomanana, the ruling regime muscleman in chief.

Gen. Ravalomanana vs Pr Zafy: Caliban vs. Ariel

A a sign of the lack of democracy in Madagascar during the transition, the opposition is continuously being repressed and attacked by the ruling power, namely at the expenses of the three spheres challenging the HAT´s dictature. In May 2011, they mobilized themselves to demonstrate on public places and challenged Andry Rajoelina´s almighty but ” expired” power. The movement “rodobe” or “great walk” is being led by Albert Zafy, a man who knows what he does. The professor’s circle is making no secret as for the objective: “drive Rajoelina to resign”.
Former president Albert Zafy declared that he has been personally attacked by the HAT´s polices forces. Tear gazes hit his car as he was making for the rally place in order to speak to militants. He spoke sharp criticisms against general Richard Ravalomanana´s Emmo Reg, as stating the fact that rules of engagement, like warnings, have been ignored . “These forces know their job, they are sent with a single order: attack “, complained Albert Zafy. The professor thinks over the possibility to attack the repression forces into court
In between, the “rodobe” is expecting to unfold before a couple of Emmo Reg officers´ homes, namely general Richard Ravalomanana and Lt colonel Andry Rakotondrazaka. “Their repressive action is completely unfair “, declared professor Zafy. The militants´ next target is Raharinaivo Andrianantoandro´s home. “He said that they were not going to leave but those willing to enter do enter, he is thereupon happening to be a stumbling block “, argued the former president.
The HAT general´s Emmo Reg squad has thrown nine demonstrators in jail, charged with public traffic hindrance, vandalism of a public garden, and challenge of police forces. They are now being detained in Antanimora until their trial in the beginning July. The chief of the Emmo Reg squad denies the capture of new political prisoners, while arguing that merely trouble makers and not any of the demonstration´s  political leaders have been arrested
The General Richard Ravalomanana warned the former president Zafy´s bodyguards and ordered them to keep away from demonstrations. He threatened them with laws, as per usual, when recalling that militaries are not allowed to join political demonstrations. At worst, the Emmo Reg squad would be using fire arms for believing the presence of potentially armed bodyguards is turning the demonstration led by Albert Zafy into a potential danger.
“The rodobe is not only a great walk in the street, it is a step in a whole program “, explained Joseph Ramiandrisoa from the Zafy mobility.  The negotiations and the mediation are still being scheduled. Besides, the opposition actually got a victory, as the SADC denied “royal power” to Rajoelina, and decided to summon a meeting between the disputing parties in Gaborone.
The TGV and its allies are straining to make believe that the SADC accepted the draft the way it was drafted and that it wants to invite the 11 parties which signed it. The dictating authority definitely refuses to discuss a draft thoroughly pledging its interests, and wants the opposition´s three spheres to give in. The general Richard Ravalomanana and his men are seeing to it in the street. There is no more difference between the defence of order and the defence of the ruling power
