In a few months, the discovery of sapphire and ruby stones transformed this village into a true city. Manufactured with haste, the most beautiful houses were made of boards of wood and sheet roof whereas those of the sapphire researchers were sometimes only traditional habitations of ridiculous sizes. The city, centered on the frantic seeking of immediate richness had forgotten to build its infrastructures. The worst was to be feared.
Today, the seams were gradually drained and the city starts to resemble gradually to what one would expect of a true malagasy town.
