Junior Chamber International: Laza Randriamifidimanana took the Presidency

Laza Randriamifidimanana will chair the Junior Chamber International (JCI) in Madagascar this year. Actually, the association’s president of 2011, Azidine Moussa, let the new president to take his seat. The power handover ceremony took place at the Hotel du Louvre in Antaninarenina in the evening of Saturday, January 28.

“Today more than ever, we must be aware of the needs and solutions to community problems. Do you know the needs of the community? So this year, the National motto is ‘Let’s Act!’ As active citizens, do not look at the problems, take actions to bring solutions.”  Such was the message of the incoming President during his speech, an opportunity to convey the continuation of the efforts of his predecessor, while highlighting his commitment to make local organizations members (known as OLM) the best ambassadors and promoters of active citizenship in the country.

With its permanent partners, including Orange Madagascar, Air Madagascar and Point Pacom, the JCI Madagascar has managed to accomplish projects in the four areas of opportunity, namely the personal, community, and business development and the development of brotherhood on the international level.

The start of the new President’s term began well with a training given by Malagasy and Mauritian trainers on the “JCI Admin.” This training is intended for national and local leaders. All 11 OLM which constitute the JCI Madagascar participate in the training. Laza Randriamifidimanana joined the JCI Antananarivo in 2005 to become executive Vice-President prior to his new appointment.
