The Marc Ravalomanana support demonstration leaders have somewhat difficulties to contain the youngest fringe of the exiled president's supporters.

Legalistic movement: militants short of patience

Some legality defenders lose patience as a matter of fact. After five months of all kinds of support for Marc Ravalomanana and, especially, after three months of struggle against the High Authority of Transition, a certain number of youths is bound for more violent actions against the regime.

This reaction has essentially been motivated by the repression of student march on last Saturday June 20th. It is also provoked by the refusal of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) to send troops to Madagascar to restore Marc Ravalomanana. These legalistic youngsters want to “clear for action” to mean their rage at the government.

Facing this” impatience “, the movement leaders had to call for calmness. Ambroise Ravonison, one of them asked the youths to be patient again, without specifying how long though. The Marc Ravalomanana’s return in Madagascar before the national day on June 26th is compromised. This return is indeed hard to achieve without an efficient military support. However the SADC refuses to play the game at present. The president in exile and the defenders of legality must be patient then, unless resorting to an eventual B plan.
