Militaries have been secretly gathering for a while in various places in and around the capital city in order to address the Great Isle´s political deadlock.

Political deadlock

Some of them would be concerned by the Malagasy political class´ inability to reach a settlement to the political crisis which has been undermining the country for two years. 
Men in uniforms are not reacting to political chaos for the first ever time. In 2010, a couple of mutinies were short from leading to a putsch, but the High Authority of Transition decided to tackle the issue with weapons. 
Those who dared the uprising either in the National State Police´s Intervention Force (local FIGN) or in the Airbase in Ivato (local BANI) in November are now all behind bars
