As the setting up of the new government is stagnating, the new Prime minister is keen on affirming his presence on top of a still virtual team.

Prime Minister Eugene Mangalaza for the liberation of political prisoners

Eugene Mangalaza has been waiting for the four political mobilities’ completion of the Transition’s government. He begins to run out of patience, just as many people do.

In expectation of the new government’s erection, the national unity Prime minister has rather address the different ministries’ secretary generals to tackle the most important issues.

“I am consulting three to four secretary generals a day, I do not want to meet ministers because I am sticking out to legality” argued the Prime minister.

Eugene Mangalaza assessed a certain number of important files to be addressed in priority by the Transition’s leaders. One of these files is the political prisoners’ issue. “The liberation of political detainees should permit to institute a climate of serenity” announced the Prime minister. He recalled that, in accordance with the Maputo agreements, the liberation of political prisoners and the adoption of an amnesty law are paramount. Still no prisoner has yet been freed since the signature of the additional agreement of Addis-Ababa Ethiopia on November 7th.

The new Prime minister’s stand is obviously to the liking of Andry Rajoelina’s partisans. The hard wing of the transitional leader’s mobility estimates that the “impunity culture” will not solve all problems.
