Prime minister O. Beriziky: an illegitimate consensus

The Ravalomanana sphere´s representatives led by Mamy Rakotoarivelo, the delegation´s leader, stood up and left the room, in Iavoloha as Omer Berziky was appointed. Laurent Ravatomanga, Hanitra Razafimanantsoa, Olivier Rakotovazaha and the other two candidates Manandafy Rakotonirina and Pierrot Botozaza didn’t stay to listen to the Prime minister’s first speech. 

“The Ravalomanana sphere does not accept Omer Beriziky as Prime minister, no personal offence, only the nomination process is being challenged.The transitional Prime Minister must not be art of the HAT´s supportive circle; Omer Beriziky is however an influential member of Leader Fanilo party, the openly HAT supportive UDR group´s number 3”, read Mamy Rakotoarivelo´s immediate reaction. 

As the HAT rejected any potential Prime minister from the opposition, Mamy Rakotoarivelo recalled the precision emphasized by Marius Fransman, the SADC´s mission leader. “The national unity Prime minister must be accepted by the opposition”, he recalled. The Ravalomanana delegation´s instantaneous reaction symbolized the malcontent. “We are not going to collaborate” reacted Manandafy Rakotonirina. Even the withdrawal from the whole of the roadmap process has been addressed. In the end, the sphere is said to be intending to consult its top leader. 

The SADC´s mediation is for the time being straining to skirt around problems. “We didn’t notice that people left the room “, declared Marius Franzman. The south-African vice-minister called upon those contesting the choice to address the SADC´s representation, in other words South Africa´s ambassador in Antananarivo. “The top priority is working together for a better future. The new Prime Minister is supposed to make the consensus come true “, declared Mr. Fransman. 

Omer Beriziky is actually expecting to legitimize a consensus tarnished by abnormality by getting the Ravalomanana sphere involved in the process, one way or the other. “We may get closer from each other and find out common ground in order to move together forward”, he declared. 

The Zafy sphere is playing mediation after having troubled the whole process. “Omer Beriziky should address the Ravalomanana sphere”, warned Régis Manoro, as a justification for his sphere´s position in favor of a candidate of openness supposedly deemed to push for national reconciliation. “We don’t have the intention to part with the opposition´s spheres. The Prime minister is going to get into contact with them “, insisted Régis Manoro. 

The  international community´s representatives appeared satisfied by the designation of the false consensus´ Prime minister. The European Union is glad to have its candidate now in charge to deal with. France itself is relieved from a potential pro-Ravalomanana Prime Minister. Martine Aubry became the UMP party´s candidate of openness; would Châtaigner eventually find any normal situation out here? Unthinkable.
