Monja Roindefo's request for the cancellation of Prime minister Eugene Mangalaza's appointment order has been rejected by the State Council which, besides, declared to be unable to put up a judgement in the case.

Request of Monja Roindefo: The State Council declaring to be unable to decide

The legal battle is over. Monja Roindefo is out of resort. His request for the cancellation of the new Prime minister Eugene Mangalaza’s appointment order has been rejected in the State Council’s verdict stated in court in the afternoon of October 22nd, in Anosy.

The outgoing Prime minister can only comply with his former pal’s decision. Andry Rajoelina, president of the High Authority of Transition, has appointed Eugene Mangalaza as national unity Prime minister, as required by the different political mobilities.

From the day of his dismissal, Monja Roindefo has engaged a political duel with Andry Rajoelina, in spite of mediation attempts engaged by groups politically close from both men.

Regardless of the appointment of the government’s new chief, Monja Roindefo has entrenched himself inside the Prime minister’s palace in Mahazoarivo. The suspension of the new Prime minister’s appointment order by the State Council following Monja Roindefo’s demand has comforted for a short while, but the final verdict proved lethal to him.

Monja Roindefo actually seems to have been highly offended by the “express” appointment of his is successor, even without any formal agreement between political leaders bound by the signatures of the Maputo agreements and the Transition’s Charter.
