Rose wood smuggle: A parliament member behind bars

 
The transitional congress´ member, Ezechiel Razafindramaro, member of the Escopol group, is behind bars. The case´s details and his role are for the time being not yet clearly revealed.  
The president of the Convention, Andrianantoandro Raharinaivo, reacted to the arrest, namely by recalling parliamentary immunity, though keeping away from defending his young congress colleague prior to the end of the investigation.  
The authorities had to react this way in face of pressure from customs-officers in strike since some days, a strike motivated to the disgrace of one of their owns in relation with a rose wood smuggle case. Customs-officers are not willing to become the sacrificed scapegoats. And they´re not likely to remove pressure, in spite of this arrest, for believing in the involvement of far larger masterminds in the business
