The Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Antananarivo celebrated its first anniversary

The Chamber of Crafts of Antananarivo was only created last year even though its implementation has been prepared for years. It celebrated last Friday its first year of existence. The celebration ceremony was held in the headquarters of the Ministry for the Promotion of Crafts at Andavamamba.

Currently, the Chamber of crafts brings together a dozen of sectors in addition to the silk industry. During its first year, the Chamber of Crafts of Antananarivo has already accomplished a lot of activity to promote its different sectors in Madagascar. One of these was the visit to Mayotte last January as part of attendance to the celebration of the first year of the Chamber of Crafts of Mayotte. During the trip, both Chambers have had the opportunity to exchange their respective experiences especially in the terms of management.

Resulting from this trip, it was therefore agreed the establishment of a Regional Association of Chambers of trade between Madagascar and Mayotte. As explained by the President of the Chamber of Crafts of Antananarivo, the official establishment of this association should be done during the next International Fair of Madagascar which will take place from May 31 until June 03 that will see the participation of the two Chambers of Trade.
