Each and every radio and TV station close to the Opposition to the imposed transitional regime have been being brutally turned down since 2009. The latest radio station regularly broadcasting news about the Opposition leaders was closed in 2010. The Opposition is now requiring the HAT to let these stations reopen and freely broadcast, as a prerogative for appeasement and freedom inspired by the crisis settlement´s roadmap.

As the ruling power decided to ban daily demonstrations inside the Magro square, Marc Ravalomanana´s supporters declared that they would eventually call strikes off if the Opposition´s radio and TV stations are allowed to operate again, as a pledge for some freedom of speech. Former Senator Naika Eliane turned the reopening of those stations into a top priority requirement at her very first day back on home soil, beside the release of political prisoners and the politically exiled figures´ return home
