The president of the TIM youth arrested

Some anti-HAT demonstrators were converging on the place of May 13th in accordance with orders given by the movement’s leaders. At this moment, the president of the TIM’ youth was a couple of hundreds of yards away from the main group. His car has been swiftly located by the security forces and stopped.  

Marc Ravalomanana’s partisans and the opposition’s three political mobilities opposing Andry Rajoelina are currently evoking “illegal detention” and “hostage taking”. 

Since March 17th, the first anniversary of the High Authority of Transition’s putsch, supporters of the three mobilities signatory of the Maputo agreements went down to the streets in groups scattered through the capital city. The gatherings have so far been dislocated by police forces with tear gas and gunshots in the air.
