The HAT is hating Joaquim Chissano, the acting mediator designated by the SADC and the international Community in the Malagasy crisis' settlement process. The Rajoelina sphere's "fake" senators did, however, welcome the Mozambican former president's envoys anyway. A record of the shoot out which took place on February 07th, 2009 has been broadcasted inside the senate's palace in order to convince Dr Leonardo Simao that the HAT's version is the right one

The SADC mediation’s assessment mission reassured the HAT

The violent scenes of February 07th are back on track as a political argument, as a pledge for Andry Rajoelina’s insurgency against the president in exile Marc Ravalomanana. Was this enough to shock Joaquim Chissano’s envoys up to make them sway side, condemn the elected president and finally recognize the dictating authority’s leader? It would still be far too early to say so, although the HAT members or the Rajoelina sphere is having a glow of optimism in the eyes, as alleging that the shock operation would have driven the SADC to alter their stand. The implementation of the Maputo and Addis Ababa agreements would no more be paramount after this visit in Madagascar.

Has the HAT vice president who led the demonstrators to Ambohitsorohitra on February 07th, 2009 been convincing enough. The retired general Dolin Rasolosoa insured that the SADC’s envoys became more flexible. “Do let us Malagasy keep going on with the negotiations, it is our problem”, he declared. The HAT decided to refrain from banning Joaquim Chissano or his envoys from entering Madagascar. “We cannot cast the international community aside” concluded Dolin Rasolosoa.

Henri Ranaivoarison, HAT member, appeared satisfied by the attitude displayed by the emissaries led by the Dr Simao. ” These seem to be unblurred people, one cannot say that they are in for executing orders”, he explained. He was close to wondering about how could the HAT propaganda have internationally failed. “It is amazing to hear that some people ignored the year 2009’s reality in Madagascar”, he protested. In order to moderate tensions, the Dr Simao declared that lifting sanctions against the HAT leaders would be possible could conditions be gathered.

Chissano waited for a while before coming

The Dr Leonardo came with his team and the mission to listen the Malagasy political actors and the civil society. The concerned sides are clearly allowed to express their views concerning the mediation, while referring to the HAT’s attacks against Joaquim Chissano. However, he made it equally clear that the official mediator will be in Madagascar in July 2010. It is a small failure for an HAT dying for ruling Joaquim Chissano out of from the process due to his alleged support for Marc Ravalomanana at Andry Rajoelina’s expenses.

The Raiamandreny Mijoro and the civil society’s coalition empowered by the HAT in order to organize the 100 % Malagasy dialog also met the SADC. They asked the community to play a monitoring role, while leaving free choices to the Malagasy. “He are neither entitled to or nor to refuse our processes “, claimed Paul Ramino. Dr Simao refrained from commenting further more in the run of his assessment mission. “The promoters of this moves have to specify whether they are calling upon the mediation’s involvement or not”, he said, while asking for the kind of support is being expected by the civil society from the international community.
