As an outcome of its national congress which ended on September 19th, the transitional leader’s TGV party decided to pledge its support to a couple of presidential candidates bound to compete on October 25th. Neither of their names have been expressively revealed, still it does not take a rocket scientist to guess that the TGV conceded its blessing to Edgard Razafindravahy and Hery Rajaonarimampianina

The TGV party supports two presidential candidates

No ruling power has yet been simultaneously supporting two candidates about to compete against one another in a presidential tournament. By the beginning of the year, Edgard Razafindravahy was basically the first congress’ nominee, although he failed to gain unanimous support. Hery Rajaonarimampianina, long term transitional finance minister, happens to be the new kid in the block, seemingly supported by the transitional leader himself, and favored by his proxies. The now former transitional chancellor of the checker was appointed at the eleventh hour as replacement candidate of two other ones rejected by the new Special Electoral Court. The TGV party did not drop the opportunity to reprocess its tactics to the conquest of power. As a matter of fact, a majority of the party’s leading figures has long been rallying Hery Rajaonarimampianina. A congress was proving necessary though, to make things clear
