Muscles have been flexed. The minister in charge of home security confirmed that the ban to enter the Malagasy territory targeting the three political mobilities' delegations so far blocked in South Africa has been lifted.

The three mobilities’ delegations authorized to go back to the country

Organès Rakotomihantarizaka solemnly confirmed that the three political mobilities’ members currently forced to extend their stay in Pretoria are, from now on, allowed to fly back home.

The international community’s pressure has probably contributed to the U-turn. The decision was so arbitrary that it caused an outcry from many diplomats and various political groupings in Madagascar.

Having acting institutions’ chiefs, not only the President of the Convention, the Prime Minister and the Transition’s Co Presidents, was a scene second to none in the administration’s history.

Political mobility leaders targeted by the order produced by the ministry in charge of home security, namely Albert Zafy, Didier Ratsiraka and Marc Ravalomanana, very recently lodged a query to the State Council. This so named query has no more means to be since the ban from entering the territory has been lifted. This ban was actually on the brink of poisoning the political situation in the Great Isle, few days to the celebrations of the New Year’s Eve.
