The Rajoelina sphere´s personal government resigned on Monday, October 17th 2011. The HAT lets a sign out one month after the signing in the run of the implementation of the roadmap deemed to lead to the crisis´ settlement. Andry Rajoelina is looking for a new prime minister and recalls that he´s the one to make a decision.

The Vital cabinet resigns, Rajoelina in search of a new prime minister

Camille Vital, the HAT´s prime minister, and his government resigned as an outcome of their last cabinet meeting. The imposed authority officially begins to do its part in the implementation of the roadmap. Andry Rajoelina confirmed that the national unity prime minister would be appointed before November, 01st  2011, as required by the roadmap. There is one month left to patch a national unity government up. The general Vital and his ministers are deemed to keep the administration running up to the constitution of a new cabinet.

Andry Rajoelina is recruiting a prime minister. So does he play the incoming result of a potential political deal down, the political deal between conflicting parties, supposed to pave the way for a national unity transition. The HAT´s leader is looking for a prime minister able to complete what he couldn´t, namely putting an end to the transition through elections. Potential runners up will be known on October 19th between 10 and 17 hours local time.

The Ravalomanana sphere is actually convinced that the nominee is logically either Manandafy Rakotonirina, previously appointed as prime minister by president Ravalomanana during the crisis in 2009, or Eliane Naike, the envoy who denounced the imposed authority´s abuses after the putsch to the international community. The Rajoelina sphere´s micro groups equally put Robert Razaka from the HPM and Victor Manantsoa forth.

Andry Rajoelina remains however the one to decide. The signed roadmap has not yet provided any clear statute for the counterweight to the unilateral power. Although the HAT is not internationally recognized, it has undisputedly managed to keep its grip on power as a result of an unconstitutional government change in 2009. The opposition´s 3 spheres have always been challenging Andry Rajoelina´s privilege to choose the national unity prime minister.

The HAT is doing its best to skirt around the roadmap´s article 5 in order not to have to deal with an opponent as prime minister. The TGV-UDR will not put any candidate forth and keeps on stand out for its general Vital. The HAT will be doing whatever it takes to approve its other micro spheres´ choice: Ny Hasina Andriamanjato comes from Antsiranana and would not be part of the Rajoelina sphere. He only cooperates with Antananarivo´s elected mayor. What about granting him the prime minister´s position?
