For lack of consensus in the crisis' settlement process, the ruling authority is trying to enforce a piece of its mind. The other political spheres refuse the pseudo dialogue orchestrated by the HAT and ask for a recovery of the political lull.

The way to a HAT national monolog

The opposition is still boycotting the national dialog and its preliminary talks organized by the ruling power. The joint Ravalomanana, Zafy and Ratsiraka circle still refuse to pledge the HAT eager to engage consultations about the future constitution while failing from settling the political crisis. Elections to wrap the crisis up, so read the HAT and France’s idea, both allied in the unilateral dialog process as a response to the international non recognition.

The former president Albert Zafy is holding the joint recovery of a consensus as the most important issue. “We, Malagasy, are skilled with recovering common ground, we did so and signed it in Maputo and Addis Ababa “, he recalled. The idea was” the constitution of a government representing everybody “. Albert Zafy can nothing but notice the failure. Although Andry Rajoelina was basically supposed to appoint ministers on proposition of the other political spheres, he monopolized everything, he chose the Prime minister, the ministers, the regional chiefs “, regretted the former president. He consequently estimated that  “a charter governing the transition was necessary”. No dialog without a consensus.

The president in exile Marc Ravalomanana equally required the consensus originating from talks between the four political spheres and the respect of the SADC protocol as conditions to a potential involvement into the national dialog. Though being condemned by series of very political trials, he went as far as requiring the amnesty and the withdrawal of the ruling authority’s roadmap. Marc Ravalomanana is keen on remaining on the path drawn in Maputo and Addis Ababa, where agreements have been signed.  Emmanuel Rakotovahiny, from the Zafy sphere, welcomed the will for transparent talks in front of the international community, a taboo for the HAT.

Fetison Andrianirina, from the Ravalomanana sphere, addressed renewed contacts prior to any dialog. “Restoring a climate of political and social lull is paramount to the possibility to debate “, he said.. He called upon the unconditional release of political prisoners. 200 of them are still behind bars. Fetison Andrianirina is holding the renewal of contacts between Malagasy to be the single way to remove doubts and reluctances concerning the dialog organized by the HAT. “If the Raiamandrenies mijoro is trully independent, let them engage talks with the other raiamandreny, namely president Zafy “. The old deputy Hery Raharisaina subsequently argued that “decision making figures are the ones having to renew talks”. In different words, the exiled presidents must be let back home.

The civil society’s Coalition is currently famed for being one of the HAT’s puppets, and the Alliance is famed for having sworn allegiance to the opposition. The dictating authority repeatedly, and purposely recalls that Lalao Randriamampionona, the Alliance’s spokesman, happens to be one of Ravalomanana’s former ministers. But the DRV association’s chairwoman keeps on criticizing the HAT national dialogue anyway. “It is going to be another national assembly, another regional conference and another Teny ifampierana (widened consensus debate) organized and failed for being unilateral”, she/it argued. The HAT actually has a respectable collection of such dead ducks on the hunting sheet
