The association of italian speaking tour guides mobilizes for a better professionalism and to rehabilitating the Big Island.

The wink to italian tourists

The VMMI organization, founded in 2007, comprises thirty italian speaking tour guides. VMMI celebrated its first anniversary under the sign of the willingness of its members to better serve the tourism sector in Madagascar. The gradual influx of italian tourists in the country is probably due to the quality of the guides. The flight from Milan to Antananarivo and  Nosy-be has indeed helped to increase the number of italian tourists travelling to Madagascar, although they are still largely less than Frenchs.
In the coming months, the VMMI wishes to rehabilitate the tomb of Rainiharo, former Prime Minister at the time of malagasy royalty. It is a heritage somewhat neglected currently despite of its historic value.
The association is currently chaired by Jonah Ramampionona. The VMMI is a full member of the National Federation of Tourist Guides.
