The presidential election's second round related electoral campaign begins on November 29th, namely on Friday. Hery Rajaonarimampianina and Jean Louis Robinson have 20 days from now to make a bid for the largest possible number of voters to one last sprint on the last straight line to victory. The final countdown ends on the presidential second round cast together with the legislative one way elections.

Three weeks left to convince voters

The AVANA party’s presidential candidate Jean Louis Robinson, mainly building on former president Marc Ravalomanana’s precious support, will begin with a prayer ceremony to be held in the Magro Square of Behoririka, in which the ousted former president’ supporters usually gather. Then, his next steps will lead him to Arivonimamo, an area located about twenty six miles west of the capital city, where Jean Louis Robinson formally tackles his campaign. As for presidential candidate Hery Rajaonarimampianina, actively supported by Andry Rajoelina, the region of Fianarantsoa will serve his second round electoral campaign as launching pad. Both choices were motivated by the first round local upper hand respectively claimed by the finalists, and may be interpreted as an evidence of gratitude towards respective electorates. Besides, the other political parties, groups and very bases carry on picking their side before the showdown. Camille Vital’s HIARAKA ISIKA party coordinators for example, are urging the party’s leading bureau to pledge support Jean Louis Robinson by now. As well, renegade TIM party members, who broke away from Marc Ravalomanana a while ago, acknowledged their support to Hery Rajaonarimampianana. Observers are stunned by the way political purposes turn things upside down. Everyone yet remains free to support whoever he wants, and they, who do so while challenging their own political party’s point, are no minority.
