In the run of his visit in Betroka, in the southern part of Madagascar, the transitional leader officially presented the special squad led by his Colonel Lylison Rene, namely a special squad made of 200 men. Andry Rajoelina equally declared that they would be supported by helicopters and motorbikes. No one can say, whether they would ever successfully put an end to terror in the South or not. Casualties and collateral damages may however be duly expected and not in small number.

Two hundred men, two helicopters and a couple of motorbikes, but nothing more

Andry Rajoelina revealed an amount of 600 billions of Ariary arguably dedicated to the fight against the Dahalo uprising in the South. His Colonel Lylison has already been in charge in the South. He knows the local beat. His methods are however not widely appreciated. The situation on the ground has not been evolving that much during the past few days. The locals appear to be everything but optimistic, for the failure of the army’s latest operations caused at least as many damages than the scourge itself
