"Unacceptable ". It is the transitional president's new creed repeatedly heard in his speeches as well as during his shows to the press whenever the three mobilities' political solution and initiatives are being addressed. Andry Rajoelina fiercely defends his power and his presidential "honour".

Verbal escalation following Maputo III: Andry Rajoelina’ presidential pride attacked

The transitional president got on his high horse after the publication of the Maputo III resolution agreed by the Ravalomanana, Zafy and Ratsiraka mobilities. “They violated the deals of the transitional charter and the Additional Act, I am going to take the suitable measures “, he threatened. Andry Rajoelina has a, actually not secret at all weapon: the army. He affirmed to have discussed with the armed forces’ commands about the political situation and the likely changes following the meeting between the three mobilities. Home as well as foreign nationals are also being consulted as for the next move to make.

Andry Rajoelina is looking decided. There is nothing more to expect from these three presidents who have been disowned by the people or by the law “, he argued. From the place of May 13th to Ambohitsorohitra, the speech vociferated by the March 2009 putsch’s author has not changed much. Free flowing accusations and libelling campaign against those he labelled “thieves” never had better days. Had the former presidents allegedly destroyed the country within years, as Andry Rajoelina pretends it, he is happening to have done as well as all of them put together in a matter of months! Damped on the very edge of the gulch, the country is being entangled in the crisis whereas the imposed authorities are enjoying ruling on their own for lack of any consensus to their liking. “We are striving to get international recognition. Why would it be granted if we are failing to recognize each other between Malagasy?”, complained Andry Rajoelina.

The transitional president was especially bitter against the other institution’s chiefs who sent a letter to the Danish government. “It means that they do not accept my presidential statute!… it is a slander against the nation and the Malagasy people !”, he boasted. The concerned letter is asking the Danish authorities to deny accreditation to the delegation eventually conducted by ” Mr Rajoelina “. “There is no respect!”, infuriated Mr Rajoelina. It claimed loud to be the only one entitled to attend an international meeting as  Madagascar’s representative. “They will have to change their names and get called Andry Rajoelina to expect participation to these meetings”, boastfully satirized the president born from a deal.

Andry Rajoelina turns even more aggressive to defend his “gains”. He claims the presidency’s exclusive rights, and turns down the idea of the transitional president being part of the presidential council. He challenges the statutes of Transitional Co Presidents, and keeps the black out the explanation provided by the statement which closely followed the Malagasy transition’s Additional Act produced in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Thereupon, he definitely denies Fetison Andrianirina and Emmanuel Rakotovahiny any access to the presidential palace. “How dare them pretend that these two me are entitled to an office either in Ambohitsorohitra and in Iavoloha “, wondered Andry Rajoelina. “They are allowed to build their offices wherever they want!”, he vociferated. Family life is, well, not likely to come true that so early, in any case not in a state owned palace.
