The current season is the best for a walk on the historical heights of the malagasy capital, Antananarivo.

Walk on Tana’s heights

It is the end of the winter in Antananarivo.  The rain season is not yet at the horizon.  And it is the ideal period for a walk on the heights of the capital of Madagascar.  The town of Antananarivo is partly built on the hill of Manjakamiadana where was built the Queen palacein the 19th century. The heights of the capital constitute an ideal place to stroll and discover the city.  The sight is particularly splendid.  Architectures of traditional houses and the old churches also point out historical vestiges of the Malagasy royalty.  Moreover, the ruins of the the Queen’s palace, the “Rova”, can be visited.  The enclosure is already opened to the public, as well as the museum of Andafiavaratra which formerly known as the Prime Minister’s palace.
