The Malagasy authority's leader didn't go to Paris to celebrate July 14. Andry Rajoelina has not been invited, as France is still being hindered from officially recognizing him. This setback has been turned by Ambohitsorohitra's propaganda machine into an argument. Despite expectations of a last minute invitation, the HAT leader would have refused to join Paris anyway

When Andry Rajoelina puts France and Madagascar on the same equal footing

On July 14th, 2010, the Malagasy ruling authorities are France, but it is not yet reciprocal. The HAT leader thanked Paris for “the French authorities’ complacency towards us” as if France was ruled by the same kind of authority. He thanked Paris’ ruling authorities for their support to the settlement of the crisis engulfing Madagascar. Whom does France support in this process by the way?Andry Rajoelina curiously congratulated president Sarkozy “during the celebration of the French 221st nation’s day”. July 14th, 1789 was actually everything but a celebration. One celebrates the nation’s day or the French revolution’s anniversary!

Better is still to come, Andry Rajoelina is inclined to collaborate with France. “I would like make sure of my full commitment to cooperate with the French Government in the achievement of our common goals”, he wrote to Nicolas Sarkozy. “Goals” without further details but  confusing ends are being revealed this way: “both countries’ development and the well-being of both of our peoples”. Would France have become a developing country?

Rajoelina is the one boycotting July 14th

Andry Rajoelina on the Champs-Elysées observing the Malagasy contingent marching as those from the other previous French colonies would do, too good to be true! The HAT had to accept, at least from June 26th, 2010, that such a thing could not come true on at least a couple of undeniable clues: one, the dictating authority’s leader did not receive the official invitation 20 days before the event; two, neither the French army nor any other armed forces united in the Indian ocean’s commission, responded to Madagascar’s invitation to parade inside Mahamasina for celebration of the independence’s  50th anniversary.

The HAT technically did not boycott the parade on July 14th, according to sources close to Ambohitsorohitra. At least, the involvement of Malagasy soldiers, a 40 men strong delegation was not questioned at all. The HAT is amazingly trying to put up a dignified face when no insult occured: Andry Rajoelina would not have moved to Paris even though he had been invited. Would he have expected to do so, had he not been denied the invitation?

As things failed from evolving, no political consensus established by the HAT, since the France-Africa summit held in Nice, the dictating authority’s leader could be recognized an official state chief on July 14th. The Malagasy official delegation was led by the HAT armed forces minister, General Lucien Rakotoarimasy and by the Joint Chief of State, the General Ndriarijaona André. The first one’s presence nearly hides the fact that the second one gave a hand to Andry Rajoelina to reverse the democratically elected president.
