Rumors of a potential return of the elected president Marc Ravalomanana on Saturday February 19th is enough to cause panic for the dictating power and its political allies. A couple of years after March 2009´s putsch, lull is still a faraway dream. The exiled president is being condemned by his adversary´s justice, and their security forces are promising retaliation to his supporters willing to challenge the established order.

Whispers of a potential come back startling the HAT

A presidential welcome has been being prepared since Mamy Rakotoarivelo announced Marc Ravalomanana´s possible come back to be coming true on February 19th 2011 at 11:00. They are likely to join the capital city from all over the regions to walk with the chief of state ousted by a militarily sustained putsch in March 2009.

According to Mamy Rakotoarivelo, Marc Ravalomanana would recover home soil in the run out of the political dialog, in order to contribute to the SADC supported recovery of a solution to the political crisis: “since our leader is not here, we repeatedly had to pull out of from talks in order to collect his point” argued Mamy Rakotoarivelo. President Ratsiraka´s return is equally being longed for the Malagasy led talks´ sake.

The TGV ministers are replying with arrest threats. Marc Ravalomanana is being blamed for rejecting the roadmap supposed to pledge his own return someday. The hinted “war declarations” lurking behind invoked laws are displaying tension in the ruling power´s side: “let Ravalomanana come and face up to justice”.

A more moderated wing is blaming the exiled president´s poor political strategy: “pulling advantage from a basic goods´ price rice and from the subsequent popular malcontent will not free him from the justice´s grip. They are announcing the landing´s day and hour in order to mobilize people, but it won´t come true. It would not be the first time”.

But the HAT is this time around appearing quite startled and promised due retaliation against any attempt to challenge public order. The security forces are, in other words, bound to react to any of these attempts to challenge the HAT order. This sort of deterrent is supposed to make the exiled president think again before any lightly considered action.

The HAT and the Rajoelina sphere are resorting to radical means to rule Marc Ravalomanana out of from the crisis settlement related roadmap process. His return on home soil is still happening to be too dangerous for putsch makers who were once a stone throw away from being granted legitimacy thanks to Dr Simao´s previous draft. This potential come back is moreover coming with the SADC led mediation´s return to Madagascar. The Ravalomanana sphere is longing for drastically restricting Rajoelina´s incoming power, having him away from any election, and having Ravalomanana in for the next presidential race. The totalitarian regime resorting to force whenever it wants to is not likely to give in that so easily
