Will you go to Marolambo?

It currently takes several days to join the locality of Marolambo from Mahanoro, both located East of Madagascar.  The few 100 kilometers of roads which connect the two localities are now being rebuilt.  In 2006, Marolambo should become accessible by car.  It will be a new destination in the East.  Since the road of Vatomandry and that of Mahanoro were rehabilitated, these two cities already attracted more and more tourists.  Marolambo and its surroundings are characterized by the forest landscape.  Certain localities comprise up to 80% of forest on their total surface.  Reason for which the population is devoted to the famous “culture sur brûlis” which gradually transforms the forests to fields.
