The quick court decision in the case February 07th is in itself not bad at all. The problem is the systematic violation of judicial processes. Those who were longing for it got the condemnation of Marc Ravalomanana, not a complete surprise though, as the HAT has long been straining to rule him out of from the political arena. The court had to condemn Marc Ravalomanana prior to the incoming electoral deadlines. Job done. It has long been required to do so, but neither the facts nor the court itself were believable enough to proceed. Le jugement hâtif du procès de l’affaire 07 février n’a rien d’anormal, c’est la célérité et le timing du tribunal au détriment du respect de la procédure judiciaire qui dérange. As an outcome of a two days long trial non stop, and systematic violations of the defence’s rights, everything still remains as dim as at the beginning about the sad event which claimed 30 casualties. Un procès marathon en deux jours, des débats nocturne et un verdict rendu au petit matin, les droits de la défense et la procédure quelque peu ignorées, la lumière n’a pas été faite sur ce triste événement qui a coûté la vie à au moins 30 personnes.
